I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
